Arts
In addition to the lovely outdoor scenery
and fun things to do in the outdoors, East
Tennessee is also full of great places to
enjoy live music, the arts, and even theatre
performances.
While staying with us on your
East Tennessee
Vacation, you can tour the Gray Fossil
Museum, one of the country’s largest fossil
deposits, or enjoy learning about Bristol
and the large, historic role the city played
in helping the country music genre to begin.
Theatre
lovers delight in visiting both Theatre
Bristol and the legendary Barter Theatre,
both of which are historic theatres that
feature excellent summer programs. If you
enjoy live music, venture to downtown
Johnson City and enjoy the live music that
fills the outdoor decks of the city’s many
restaurants. Down Home is an especially neat

helped begin the careers of not only Alison
Kraus, but also Kenny Chesney.
